Unlike the troglodyte animalobsessed with the subterranean castle in Kafka’s shortstory «The Burrow», the carefree mole-man spends allday taking care of his long, beautiful nails, having lostall impulse to dig tunnels. His repetitive, meaninglessdaily actions even become an obstacle, as the long,beautiful nails become barriers. The short film deploysnumerous shaky, blurred subjective shots, creating ananguish of confinement through excruciating close-ups, reinforcing a fragmentation and repetitive loopworthy of a broken dream.
