How Art Museum is pleased to announce the opening of "Cultural Valley of Ou River: A Group Show" on November 10, 2025, in its second and third floor galleries. Taking the Ou River as its thread, the exhibition brings together a group of artists nurtured by this region, exploring the intricate roots of their practices as they intertwine with place, lineage, and history. It further traces the ways in which "hometown" has been mobilized as a method within contemporary Chinese art.

In a standardized office, an employee seeks out every available foothold within his workspace to climb. He clings to the walls, placing his body in an extremely tense suspended position. This test of physical endurance pushes the climber to reach his or her limits, before suddenly slackening off and falling back to the starting point of his or her desk to work. The climber's clothing provides clues: he's wearing a light blue shirt, a lizard tie and lizard shorts. The colors of the tie and shorts on the coat rack change from "Monday blue" to purple, then to black and white. The shorts borrow the style of men's underwear, revealing a discrepancy between intimate and public space.
